ENTERTAINING KIDS!

Does anyone have any idea's around how and where to take kids to help entertain them in the weekends in Gisborne?  Other than the Olymipic Pools, Beach (not good on a freezing cold day), Mini Putt, BMX track etc any other interesting ideas that are fun and inexpensive.confuse

What about a tiring walk up Kaiti hill, around Eastwood Hill, go check out the daffodils, take a picnic and cozy down on a rug in the dappled shade!
Make playdough at home, or set up a tent inside and 'camp in' complete with rucksacks full of camping food.
Turn their favourite music up really loud so they can show you their latest moves!
Try googling "free ideas fro kids".  Goodluck!

Hmm if u have a playstation using their pocket money to hire a new game might help, video store block buster, hires 5 games a week for ten dollars, i do that once in a blue moon for my son....

We have a movie day once in a blue moon, hire a few movies and make pop corn, cheep fizzys, other munchies, and enjoy the day in pjama's....

Also when the weathers fine, we go fishing down at places by the wharf, the outside of mussels are used for bait, great fishing tip, and we take a picnic, which i get my son to help prepare, spend the whole day out!

This may sound a bit weird but we sometimes go to the airport! My little boy LOVES planes and if you go at a busy time there are normally other kids too! Free parking for less than 30 mins and/or mum can have a coffee!
