Hi MaoriChef30, I had a 12week early prem boy, born in Auckland, he is now a healthy nearly 10 year old. I spent the first two years in and out of both Gisborne and Starship hospitals. Premmies are special and have a great attitude, if i can help with anything just ask and i will try to help.
Many thanks what i wanted to know was, is their anything special i need to be carefull of in regards to their care? More so on whats the best time to take them outdoors for the first time and during that anytime their after ?.... is their anything to watch out for? apart from anything i've questioned also i've just got a throat n chest infection would it be safer to wear a mask whilst im not well....just curious on that question! I only got told to wait till babys 3 kilo and ova till i go into a supermarket.... My son was two months prem weighing 3lbs 3 oz and now has been released from neo natal and is wearing a aponea monitor when he is asleep.... Anyhows off for a rest before the next feed!
